Put utilities app on your dock and click on it to open up your apps. On finder, search utilities and drag your apps from your dock into it or search it with the applications folder that you opened.

If you have A mac os x, go to search and type in applications and click on it. i found out a better way to create space for your dock and there are no downloads for this.
